| Under the general supervision of the Vice President for University Advancement (VPUA), the Executive Assistant serves as the primary administrative support to the VPUA, managing complex, confidential, and sensitive matters. The incumbent provides executive, operational, logistical, and communications support to the Office of the VPUA and the Executive Director of Development and collaborates closely with campus leadership, including Vice Presidents, Associate Vice Presidents, the Office of the President, and the CSU Chancellor’s Office.
This position delivers comprehensive administrative and operational support to the Vice President and the University Advancement division while ensuring exceptional service to donors, volunteers, board members, and campus partners. Responsibilities include managing executive calendars and correspondence, coordinating meetings and events, maintaining accurate donor and constituent records in the CRM system, and supporting daily office operations. The incumbent exercises independent judgment in resolving scheduling conflicts, prioritizing competing demands, coordinating complex activities, and ensuring executive preparedness for meetings, briefings, and systemwide engagements.
The position also supports fundraising and donor engagement efforts by coordinating logistics, communications, and materials for development events, donor visits, and recognition programs. Working under the guidance of the University Foundation Board and Project Manager, the incumbent assists with the planning and execution of University Foundation Board of Governors meetings and related functions. In addition, the role supports division-wide initiatives that promote employee engagement and organizational effectiveness. Through proactive administrative, event, and project support, this position contributes to the efficiency, collaboration, and mission-driven success of University Advancement. |
