Community Resident Engagement Specialist (Temporary) East Bay
Hayward Promise Neighborhoods at Cal State East Bay is hiring a Community Resident Engagement Specialist (CRES) to lead our attendance efforts in partnership with the Alameda County Office of Education (ACOE). Under the supervision of the Cradle-to-Career Director of Programs and Evaluation of Hayward Promise Neighborhoods (HPN), the Community Resident Engagement Specialist (CRES) will lead and facilitate comprehensive strategies for resident engagement and community partnership, with a focus on coordination of cradle-to-career services and referrals for 50+ families whose children struggle with chronic absenteeism. The CRES will work to deepen trust and credibility among community residents, the University, and other HPN partners, especially city and social services providers. This position will develop and maintain contacts with partners and community leaders as a basis of extending and strengthening community understanding and support of the HPN initiative.
College & Career Program Specialist (Temporary) East Bay
Hayward Promise Neighborhoods at Cal State east Bay is hiring a College & Career Specialist. The College & Career Program Specialist at Hayward Promise Neighborhoods (HPN) supports the execution and enhancement of internship programs aimed at fostering college and career readiness among students at Cal State East Bay, partner K-12 schools and community colleges. This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the internship programs including recruiting, hiring, orienting, and overseeing interns from the Promise Interns, College Corps, and service-learning streams, ensuring compliance with all educational and partner agency requirements. The Coordinator will collaborate closely with university leadership, faculty, and external partners to develop professional development opportunities and coordinate events that engage and retain students in the internship programs. Additionally, this position requires the implementation of risk management policies and procedures, the development of performance metrics for program evaluation, and the preparation of compliance and performance reports to meet grant-funded objectives set forth by the Department of Education and institutional policies.
