Under the general direction of the Assistant Director for Transfer Credit, the ADT & Transfer Credit Coordinator facilitates the tracking and verification of Associate Degrees for Transfer (ADT) from California Community Colleges. This includes creating reports, coding applicants, and coordinating communication throughout the admission process in collaboration with Undergraduate Admissions, Academic Advising, the Office of the Registrar, Academic Departments, and the Office of Articulation. In accomplishing these tasks, the incumbent uses knowledge of the structure and coding of the Campus Solutions (CS) student system to manage ADT processing. The incumbent provides in-depth guidance for transfer students by providing counseling and explanation of transfer credit policies. This includes using professional judgment and information analysis to determine course transferability, interpret complex transfer articulations and degree requirements, and calculate credit totals and grade point averages. The incumbent builds on knowledge of California Title V, CSU eligibility requirements, and SFSU policies to support the staff by offering specialized training on admissions and transfer credit policies and procedures, and handling challenging and unique student, parent, staff, and faculty interactions. In collaboration with the leadership team of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment, the incumbent consults on optimizing existing procedures to ensure a smooth experience for transfer students. |

Under the general direction of the Associate Director for Admissions, the Residency Coordinator independently leads the University’s residency determination process and oversees the administration of tuition exemption programs, including AB 540, military exemptions, and the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) tuition discount. The incumbent provides in depth guidance to applicants to assist them with residency determinations, student-focused customer service and staff leadership by demonstrating effective listening, availability and timely responses to all inquiries. The Residency Coordinator serves as the campus authority on complex residency and exemption cases, ensures compliance with CSU policy and state law, interprets evolving regulations, and recommends program enhancements. The role includes expert-level advisement to applicants and continuing students, training staff and student assistants, and coordinating with systemwide offices such as the CSU Chancellor’s Office and Office of General Counsel.
