Senior Admissions Counselor Pomona
The Senior Admissions Counselor trains, guides, and oversees departmental admission counselors. The incumbent reviews, analyzes, and determines counseling strategies and modalities that meet the needs of our constituents, including exploring and developing software platforms for service functions and communications. The Senior Admissions Counselor oversees several student-facing processes, such as admission appeals, deferments, exceptions, application fee waiver appeals, and late application requests. Provide intermediary support and service between counseling staff and managers, requiring higher-level analysis and decision-making. The incumbent oversees the entire counseling unit, serves as the first point of contact for applicants, parents, counselors, faculty, and staff regarding admissions processing and individual admissions situations, and handles all escalated issues requiring greater analysis and warrant resolution.
Facilities Maintenance Mechanic Pomona
The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for general routine and preventative maintenance and repairs of the buildings’ mechanical equipment and associated apparatus including work on the utility infrastructure. The incumbent performs corrective and preventive maintenance on pumps, pump seals, pump bearings, motors, motor bearings and blower fan bearings, shaft alignments and air compressors.
Director, Diversity Outreach Initiatives Pomona
The role of the Director of Diversity Outreach Initiatives is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing the Residential Intensive Summer Education (RISE) program in addition to other diversity related outreach initiatives, with a focus on shaping and expanding outreach efforts to underserved students. Dedicated to supporting Black students on their college journey and ensuring success at Cal Poly Pomona, this position is instrumental in developing and leading the diversity outreach efforts to redefine and extend access to higher education. This role demands a visionary leader with expertise in securing grants to support program growth and sustainability. This position requires a deep level of cross-divisional collaborations while developing diversity-driven outreach efforts focusing on underserved populations, while maintaining a focus on the Black community.
Lead Physician Pomona
This position provides patient care and patient education for Student Health & Wellness Services by examining, diagnosing, prescribing, administering medical treatment, and counseling patients on related medical/personal problems and health measures. This position acts as the Lead for all medical providers in Student Health Services, and as a resource to nursing and ancillary staff. This position also typically serves as the Director for the on-site moderate complexity lab, the on-site Pharmacy operation, and the onsite X-ray operation.
Licensed Vocational Nurse II Pomona
To provide nursing care to patients at Student Health & Wellness Services. Under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or physician, the LVN II performs a range of technical and skilled nursing duties requiring specialized training, judgment, and skill. Assignments may include: coordinating comprehensive educational programs for student leaders; supervising programming student leaders; and providing oversight for the annual welcome week program.
Manager, Accounting Pomona
Cal Poly Pomona is seeking an Accounting Manager to join the dynamic team within University Accounting Services. Under the direction of the Director of University Accounting Services, the Accounting Manager directs the work and monitors the day-to-day activities of the general ledger and subsidiary systems, the GAAP business unit and quarterly/annual tax filings. The Accounting Manager ensures that assigned accounting program activities are carried out in accordance with established policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting standards, identifies actual or potential problems and recommends corrective or preventative actions, develops audited financial statements and reports, provides consultative services to campus administrators in resolving accounting problems, recommends and implements changes in accounting system procedures, and ensures adequate internal controls are implemented and functioning properly. The incumbent assures that all financial reporting requirements of the University are met, including areas such as new and existing GASB standards, pension accounting, capital asset infrastructure reporting and accurate reporting of long-term debt obligations.
