| The Director of Development, Athletics serves as the lead fundraising professional assigned to Cal Poly Pomona Athletics. The position independently determines fundraising approaches, prospect strategies, priorities, and methods for achieving established fundraising and stewardship objectives. The position develops and implements comprehensive fundraising strategies that identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift, principal gift, planned gift, corporate, and foundation prospects in support of University and Athletics priorities. The position manages an active portfolio of prospects, builds and maintains donor relationships, and partners with Athletics leadership, coaches, University Advancement, campus leadership, alumni, volunteers, and community partners to increase philanthropic support and strengthen the donor pipeline. |
