Position Description

    • Position Summary
    • Full-time position under the Management Personnel Plan (MPP) available on or after June 16, 2025.



      Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management, the Senior Director of Enrollment Services provides leadership, strategic direction, and operational management for Enrollment Services. This role oversees critical enrollment functions, including Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions, Records and Registration, Degree Review and Conferral, Class Scheduling, University Articulation, Veterans Affairs, Athletics Certification, and the PeopleSoft Student System. The Senior Director is responsible for a $1.3 million budget and the effective management of approximately 28 professional and administrative staff, including two management personnel.

      As a key member of the Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) team, the Senior Director collaborates with campus partners to align enrollment services with institutional goals, remove barriers to student success, and enhance service delivery. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, CSU, and campus policies while driving continuous improvement in enrollment-related processes and technologies.

    • Job Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Provide strategic oversight for all Enrollment Services functions, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities.
      • Manage and optimize fiscal and staff resources.
      • Ensure policies, procedures, and services support the mission of the university, division, and area.
      • Represent the University in CSU system-wide discussions and committees related to enrollment and student records.
      • Serve as a key leader in the Strategic Enrollment Management team, working closely with Admissions, Outreach & Recruitment, Strategic Communications, Financial Aid, Advising, and Information Technology.
      • Develop and implement strategies to achieve institutional enrollment goals and remove barriers to student success.
      • Lead efforts to improve admissions, enrollment, and degree progression tools to better support students.
      • Collaborate with faculty, staff, and campus administrators to enhance student services and implement policies that support retention and graduation.
      • Oversee PeopleSoft Student System functionality and enhancements in collaboration with IT.
      • Leverage data analytics to inform policy, improve enrollment outcomes, and ensure operational efficiency.
      • Ensure compliance with federal, state, CSU, and campus policies related to enrollment services, records management, and financial aid reporting.
      • Lead the development and implementation of technology solutions that enhance enrollment services and student experiences.
      • Recruit, mentor, and develop professional and management staff to build a high-performing, student-focused team.
      • Align staffing structures with operational needs and strategic priorities.
      • Oversee revenue-generating services such as transcript requests, degree verifications, and enrollment fees.
      • Prepare and present reports, participate in audits, and implement improvements based on findings.
      • Other duties as assigned.
    • Minimum Qualifications
    • Education:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field such as Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline.

      Experience:  Minimum of seven years progressively responsible experience in enrollment management, student records, admissions, or a related area in higher education including five years in a supervisory capacity.

    • Preferred Qualifications

      • Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
      • Familiarity with California State University (CSU) policies, procedures, and enrollment management systems.
      • Experience managing budgets including fiscal planning, resource allocation, and revenue generation.
      • Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions or similar student information systems at an administrative level.
      • Experience in developing and utilizing data-driven strategies to inform enrollment planning, retention efforts, and student success initiatives.
    • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

      • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives to support institutional enrollment and student success goals.
      • Knowledge of and experience with FERPA, Title 5, CSU policies, and other federal and state regulations related to admissions, records, enrollment, and degree conferral.
      • Experience working with enterprise student information systems (e.g., PeopleSoft, Oracle Campus Solutions) and utilizing data analytics to support decision-making.
      • Ability to work collaboratively across divisions, with faculty, administrators, and external stakeholders to enhance enrollment and student success.
      • Experience leading teams, managing budgets, and optimizing resources to achieve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
      • Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in enrollment services and fostering an inclusive campus environment.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
    • Salary Range
    • Anticipated salary will be $10,617 - $13,225 per month plus excellent paid benefits. Salary will depend on the qualifications of the successful finalist.
