The Department of Speech-Language Pathology at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Fall 2025 to teach SLP 482: Audiology and Aural (Re) Habilitation.
Course Description
Reviews the anatomy of the auditory and vestibular systems and explores peripheral and central disorders which can affect hearing and balance. Teaches classification of hearing disorders by etiology, location within the auditory systems, and effect on communication. Investigates the current assessments available to evaluate hearing and balance and the results provided by the assessments. Trains students to administer an appropriate hearing screening protocol. Explores intervention methods for developing and maintaining communication with patients with hearing loss.
Minimum qualifications:
- Doctor of Audiology degree
- Expertise in working with individuals with hearing disorders
- License in Dispensing Audiology in California
- ASHA CCC's in Audiology (CCC-A)

Salary commensurate with degree level and experience
- Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per full-time month
The salary schedule information for the Lecturer - Academic Year Classification is available based on the following ranges:
- CSU Classification Salary Range Lecturer A - AY: $5,507 - $6,677 per full-time month
- CSU Classification Salary Range Lecturer B - AY: $6,221 - $13,224 per full-time month
